Things we've heard people ask us
What type of Pool is Freestyle?
Freestyle is a flow pool, which is like a treadmill for swimming. We generate a countercurrent to swim against. It's like swimming in open water. Set the speed and swim as long as you want.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
No, but being able to swim to some degree, and being comfortable in the water, will help you enjoy the experience. We always offer lessons too.
What to expect the first visit?
Our studio is located in an office park. When you walk in it will be low light conditions to allow the pool projectors to be bright as possible. You will sign a waiver, get a quick orientation and then start your swim.
How fast can I swim?
Our pool is designed for longer sustained workouts at medium paced speeds, but if you want to do a sprint, let the attendant on site know so they can help you.
What amenities are at the facility?
We offer a combination bathroom and changing room with complimentary deodorants, q-tips, blowdryer and isopropyl alcohol.
Can children use Freestyle?
Anyone under 18 can come swim, but adults must be in attendance.
Is there a lifeguard on duty?
No. Swim at your own risk, however, there is a trained attendant on duty.
What does the swim feel like?
The swim has been likened to being in open water.
Where should I park?
Our studio has two parking spaces directly in front of our facility.
What should I bring with me?
You will need to bring a towel, goggles, bathing suit, and a snorkel (if you desire). We may have goggles and other swimming gear available for sale, but please do not count on it.
Do you have showers?
No, only a combination changing room and bathroom. All swimmers must be clean before entering the pool.
What should I wear to swim?
Whatever you are comfortable wearing while you swimming. We've had people wear everything from speedos to bikinis to wetsuits to board-shorts.
It's my first time, what should I do?
Come with a positive attitude and get ready to have fun. We'll be sure to provide a quick orientation and get you going.
What if I have to cancel?
Cancellations are possible 12 hours in advance of your reservation time. Anything after 12 hours will result in a full charge.
What is your COIVD policy?
Everyone that comes to swim is highly encouraged to be vaccinated. If we find out you are not vaccinated we ask that you do not return until you are.

Is the water chlorinated?
Yes, we keep the water chlorinated at appropriate levels all times to ensure the safety of every swimmer.
What temperature is the pool?
We try and keep the pool between 82 and 86 degrees at all times. Special requests can be made.
