FAQs
Things we've heard people ask us
What type of Pool is Freestyle?
Freestyle is a flow pool, which is like a treadmill for swimming. We generate a countercurrent to swim against. It's like swimming in open water. Set the speed and swim as long as you want.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
No, but being able to swim to some degree, and being comfortable in the water, will help you enjoy the experience. We always offer lessons too.
What to expect the first visit?
Our studio is located in an office park. When you walk in it will be low light conditions to allow the pool projectors to be bright as possible. You will sign a waiver, get a quick orientation and then start your swim.
Where is Freestyle located?
We are a 12-15 minute drive from downtown in Southwest Austin off of highway 290 and Circle Drive. Our address is 11190 Circle Drive, Suite 208, Austin, TX 78736 and our phone number is ‪(512) 766-5149‬.
How fast can I swim?
Our pool is designed for longer sustained workouts at medium paced speeds, but if you want to do a sprint, let the attendant on site know so they can help you.
What amenities are at the facility?
We offer a combination bathroom and changing room with complimentary deodorants, q-tips, blowdryer and isopropyl alcohol.
Can children use Freestyle?
Anyone under 18Â can come swim, but adults must be in attendance.
Is there a lifeguard on duty?

Do you have showers?
